The TEEX OSHA Training Institute Education Center equips individuals with the knowledge and skills to maintain voluntary compliance with OSHA regulations and provide a safe and healthy workplace for their employees. The center was designated by the OSHA Training Institute in Des Plaines, Illinois, in July of 1994, as an Education Center for Region VI. Headquartered in Mesquite, Texas, the education center is one of the top training centers in terms of numbers of students trained per year and continues to grow in enrollment and course offerings. Last year, the center offered almost all OSHA-numbered courses at various locations throughout the five-state OSHA Region VI, as well as contract training to customers worldwide through approximately 600 safety and health classes, serving more than 8,000 students. The education center also developed new safety and health courses for trainees, who range from front-line workers to safety and health management. Since its inception, the training center has met or exceeded the annual OSHA requirements set for it.
